And are there rubber products that are purely made from synthetic rubber?

Dear all, to say natural or synthetic it is with respect to the source of raw rubber. The products are the result of processing, so, all are synthetic whatever the origin of raw products. My Regards

There are many natural rubber products. As good as most synthetic products are, they are niche products. Natural gum rubber is a very good strong material.

Natural rubber,is cis_polyisoprene rubber used in some products when it needs high tensile strength , high elongation which synthetic rubber as trans polyisoprene couldn't meet the required specification .the other type synthetic rubber used according to specification of the product needs for example resistance to oiln need NBR,air resistance need Butyl rubber and so on

Natural rubber or Gum rubber is isoprene rubber. It's properties depend on the seasonal fluctuations and environment where it is grown and its source. It can be harvested from rubber trees and various plant saps. It was even manufactured from dandelion sap during WW2. Still, it is a good and useful product.

Isoprene can also be synthetically made, and there are a myriad of other rubber compounds: urethane rubber, EPDM rubber, SBR rubber, chloroprene, silicone, nitrile rubber (also called buna-n); the original name for nitrile rubber was polycyanide rubber, but the marketing people quickly put an end to that. There is also Butyl rubber, polyacrylate rubber, hypalon, fluoropolymer rubber and fluorosilicone rubber and probably 2 dozen others. They all seem to have some function that makes them stand apart from the others. As for cis or trans isoprene, both are useful, one is stretchy and tough and the other is hard and almost resin-like. Golf balls use both, the core is of the stretchy material and the outer white coating is the tough resin-like material.
