Hi,
I am trying to figure out the best approach to analyze my data and appreciate any help. The model has one IV with nominal values (0,1) and (maybe) multiple DVs that also are nominal (0,1).
To clarify, the independent variable in my case is the existence of an audit function (yes, no), and I am studying the impact of the existence of that audit function on the dependent variable. the DV is an internal control system that has 10 different characteristics. for example
- Hiring documentation policy.
- Document shredding policy. ...etc
So my question can be in two folds:
1- How to deal with the dependent variables (individual questions) while analyzing the model. My understanding that conducting a simple summation is not a good approach. The questions can be clustered in 4 subcategories and all the questions represent one thing "internal control system".
2- What is the best statistical method that helps to drive how much, if any, the IV has an impact on the DV(s).
Thanks,
