hello, Im working on Luminescent concentrator Solar cell (LSC). I read some paper and they consider about geometric gain ( G value) , following the concept I tried to calculate but cound not find the same value which they said. Who one can show me how to calculate G value?

It would be interesting to see if a LSC can be more effective in converting solar energy into electricity than a silicon cell. Don't be misled by statements about power levels. Unless the phosphor can use Auger multiplication (produce more than one output photon per input photon) all you are going to do is shift the energy carried per photon down to the near IR. The number of electrons produced depends on the number of photons incident on the device, not so much the incident power. Now the IR cell has to convert the photons into current which it should do with an efficiency much greater than 20% (the light is near monochromatic).
Converting to G values, that just means the solar energy is concentrated by a factor of 6. But the number of photons is less than the number incident because of losses. This is interesting if you're going to use a multijunction cell - but you won't because multijunction cells are designed for wide band spectral input and you have near monochromatic input. Count instead of G the ratio of the total number of photons incident on the device and compare it with the number reaching the cell. I don't think you will be very impressed by the result.
But it's worth trying. I could always be wrong! Best wishes.
