GIFT is a free, open-source modular architecture for authoiring and evaluating intelligent tutoring systems. I am interested in identifying participants for a usability study which will examine how much time it takes to author one hour of adaptive instruction. The literature shows 200-300 hours, but we believe it is less with the GIFT authoring tools.
Hi Ross... It would involve taking standard content that we provide and getting participants to use that content to construct one hour of adaptive instruction using the GIFT Authoring Tools. You would be responsible to track time to construct tutor... we are still in the process of developing the protocol and we are looking at the option to have this all available online.

Hi Rodrigo... I will let you know as soon as we are ready to begin... protocol is being developed and we want participants to use the same content to develop an ITS using GIFT authoring tools... so we are still deciding on what standard tutor we want participants to build and are gathering content. We should be ready to go after the beginning of the new year.
