There are large number of ornamental plants with medicinal value.

Delonix regia, Costus speciosus, Calendula officinalis, Cassia fistula, Saraca asoca, Kalanchoe pinnata, Nyctanthes arbor- tristis, Aloe vera, Catharanthus roseus, Butea monosperma, Albizia lebbeck, Rauvolfia serpentina, Bauhunia variegata, Bauhunia purpurea, Tamarix dioica, Smilax zeylanica, Alstonia scholaris etc.

Here are some more plants suitable for Iran

Salvia officinalis, Lallemantia iberica, Lawsonia inermis, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, Narcissus tazetta, Jasminum officinale, Thuja occidentalis, Portulaca oleracea, Delphinium ajacis, Verbena officinalis and Viola odorata.

In my opinion Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) and Lavender (Lavandula officinalis) are the best for this purpose.

they can beautifully blend in with almost any garden, they have beautiful flowers, beautiful scent and no one can deny their medical importance

don't forget, they can directly be in our tea cup while taking a walk in the garden.

The fresh leaf extract of this plant is powerful against superficial mycoses. At the same time , it produces  beautiful yellow - orange flowers which can be seen even from a long distance.

aloe vera is ornamental and medicin plant. But I think it's not good choice especially as ornamental.

There are many medicinal plants also posses beauty in their flower and leaves starting from Tubrose, Jasmine, Gloriosa superba, Nictyanthes arbortistis, Butea, Cassias, Lamiaceae members etc. The thing which found or can be grown in your region Iran need to be shortlisted.

You can use Rauvolfia serpentina, if it suits to the climatic conditions of your country Iran. It is a small erect, glabrous, deep rooted, evergreen perennial shrub about 1 to 3 feet in height, bearing white or pinkish flowers. Rauvolfia serpentina is a plant of immense medicinal value. In modern therapeutics it is being used in reducing blood pressure in hyperpiesis and as a sedative in treatment of insomnia, nervousness, hypochondria and mental disorders. It is used in several other diseases like psoriasis, hyper-sweating, itching, menstrual molimina, menopausal syndrome, toxic goiter, angina pectoris and irregular heart action. Cassia alata .It has bunches of terminal golden yellowflowers that makes it as an ornamental plant and for its medicinal value see my profile page ,my publication and my Ph.D thesis.
