I am searching for anyone with interest on nurses' experience during disaster response or perhaps already conducted any study on the topics for collaboration in writing up articles.
this is a fascinating topic, and I wish you well with your studies. There are a number of studies which have been done in this area, although there is not an extensive body of literature. Most of the work is qualitative, as is to be expected. There is quite a lot of material from Asia, in particular following the earthquakes in China , Taiwan and Turkey and also some very interesting Master's and PhD thesis from Australia. My own research has been in relation to nurse's experiences following the Canterbury, NZ earthquakes. I would be interested in hearing more about your research and your plans, and am attaching some files and also some references that may be of interest.
I suggest you look for Dr Karen Hammad's (Flinders University, Australia) PhD thesis which was titled: 'The lived experience of nursing in the emergency department during a disaster' which may be relevant
Other works:

I hope these offer some thoughts and assistance in regard to your topic,
I was part of a study which looked at nurses experiences during and after Canterbury earthquakes https://www.researchgate.net/publication/288831530_Nurse_Perspectives_on_the_Practical_Emotional_and_Professional_Impacts_of_Living_and_Working_in_Post-earthquake_Canterbury_New_Zealand and
I was so delightful with all of your response on my question. I will take the articles as suggested and would like to produce an article combining the study that you have produced with mine. Since disaster preparation amongst nurses in Malaysia still in its infancy, I wish to learn from other countries in order to get the nurses to be prepared. Perhaps, can influence nursing institutions in Malaysia to put some 'weight' on curriculum/training in regards to their readiness prior to the deployment.
I have been researching nurses experience of disasters for the past decade (or so). I have recently completed by PhD titled: Australian civilian hospital nurses’ lived experience of an out-of-hospital environment following a disaster. You can obtain a copy here: http://www.jamieranse.com/2017/09/phd.html
You can see my other work relating to nurses and disasters here: http://www.jamieranse.com/search/label/Disaster
In particular this may be of interest: Beyond a clinical role: Nurses were psychosocial supporters, coordinators and problem solvers in the Black Saturday and Victorian bushfires in 2009. You can obtain a copy here: http://www.jamieranse.com/2012/07/beyond-clinical-role-nurses-were.html
Hi Jamie, thanks for your respond on my question. It’s a great work of your PhD in exploring nurse’s lives experience and you’re using phenomenology and hermeneutics to develop your theoretical framework.
I am using constructivist grounded theory by Charmaz in exploring their experiences.
Although we are using different approaches, I believe that our aim is remain the same; looking on what can be done for nurses education and their practices.
I’m quite impressed with your different perspectives that you have developed which I think I could learn from you.
there has been plenty of work. Have a look at the following:
