Anyone familiar with "Techniques de l'ingénieur"?

Is it a decent place to do research or simply a waste of money? Thanks!

The aim of "Techniques de l'ingénieur" is to provide a good level validated synthesis of knowledege about very different technical subjects. It is not especially designed for researchers, but for people who want to know the most important data about a pecular subject. The main trouble might be that updates are not very frequent. I have written articles articles in "Techniques de l'ingénieur" and I have never been asked to update them.
