I'm just about to start my MSc (Masters) research into climate change and global security. This is the broad area and I am hoping to narrow it down as I start reading the literature and published research. I would be interested in hearing from anyone doing any similar research to develop some interesting research questions and perhaps some brainstorming together.
Could you please specify first working definition of global security and scope in your research, for it is very broad concept - protection of the world against war and/ or other threats like climate change etc which manifest in various forms/dimensions of human security - economic, environmental etc.
Well, you can use the path that climate change effects agriculture. And this causes lack of access to clean water and other food. And this occurs generally because of ‘global north global south conflict’. So this causes terrorist movements, because of extreme nationalism and extreme religious movements increases with poverty and other effects of greenhouse emissions. (which is dominantly because of developed countries’ industrialization) So these ‘local terrorist groups’ easily become international threats. You can also follow this path and I am sure that you can find lots of resources about this.
All thermal based power generation processes may it be fossil fuel based or nuclear origin are responsible to warm up the environment directly and indirectly causing climate change.Now it is utmost important for human race to get rid of these sources in planned manner and switch over to non-conventional sources like hydel, wind, solar and ocean current for a cleaner and greener future of mother earth and all of us.

Coul you to make the study related about to climates changes.
However, you need to choose the parameter to study: temperature, rainfall, etc.
Period and serial data, monthly or yearly and location for the study.
Also, a very interesting subject, they are extreme events, frequency and intensity.
I think methodology depend on the objective of the study, as Francisco said , which parameter are you focusing and you want to use for what purpose? then you be able to understand which methodology can be applied
My research is focused on climate change and securitization process.

Ali, are you aware the DOD did a report on this many years ago, that became public? I believe they have done further work since then, that is probably public.

Main findings according to geology, archaeology and petrified creatures :
1- The first day was the longest day , our day now is the shortest in the history , coming days are shorter.
2- Equator line is on the same place since the creation of our earth and sun .
3- Human life started with our Father Adam and our mother Eva ( Hawwaa ) .
4- From the 2nd day on, started days to be shorter and shorter and climate started changing steady towards our climate of nowadays , influencing geographical populations and politician might in the world.
