- I am currently interested in calculating stress in viscoelastic solids from the convolution product of relaxation function and strain rate. I already know that my only option is to use the global ODE physics solved at each time step implementing an ODE as follows: d(integral_I_want_to_calculate, t) - function_that_I_want_to_integrate = 0 where the function I want to integrate is: f(t) = G(t-t') strain_rate(t') with respect to t', and G the relaxation modulus.

- the main difficulty is that my relaxation modulus can not be related to a simple PDE as for Maxwell models for instance.

- I know that for space integrals we have the very useful "dest" operator that could solve this issue but it is not available for time unfortunately

- The problem was already pointed out here https://www.comsol.com/forum/thread/1504/convolution-integral and remains unsolved (for me at least)

Thanks
