Im a looking for a workflow to transform GIS-Data (like ArcGIS or Q-GIS) into a Game Engine (like Unreal Engine or Unity? Maybe 3D-Modelling by Blender or 3D-Max could be a step in between.
There are many examples for Minecarft. I have never done the procedure to translate GIS data to Minecraft but I can facilitate to you some links. Please if you are succces implementing the procedure comment us!!!
Hello Mark Vetter , my suggestion is that you search for a software called CityEngine. After some work, with this you can turn GIS-Data into 3D and than export in .fbx format to use with Unity or Unreal.
I agree with Luiz, in CityEngine you can turn shp files to 3d and design facade for building. Then you can use your model for Game in CityEngine or export other game engine.
