I need to identify viral proteins in lung tissue of Syrian hamster. The most important is discriminate between lungs cell and others cells like macrophages.
Presumably you intend to use a primary antibody against your viral proteins and visualise it using fluorescence microscope?.
Use an alveolar specific anti–glomerular basement membrane (anti-GBM) antibody for pulmonary cell detection with an Macrophage or T cell specific antibody to seperate pulmonary tissue from invading immune system.
Use an antigen specific detection marker to combine all data. For example if the infecting virus is influenza, then Influenza A Virus Hemagglutinin antibodies recognize the influenza hemagglutinin epitope.
Using dual viral/immune & viral/pulmonary detection will allow you to determine the viral load, immune response and possible structural damage initiated by the virus
