Hello,
I have some compounds dissolved in organic and aqueous solvents. I need to analyze them through FT-IR, I have IR liq. cells. Can any one suggest me the references and experimental methods?. Some times I am getting good spectra, some times getting with negative absorption.
Most of the solvents are little volatile.
Your suggestions are highly appreciated.

Hi,
If your solvents are volatile and are a problem to obtain a good spectra. you could try to put some drops of your solution on KBr then dry it and make a KBr pellet for the FT-IR analysis. That way you should obtain a spectra of your counpounds without the solvent.
