I feel you should concentrate on SUV's and above in the Indian market if you are looking at luxury goods or maybe on people who buy villas (posh and expensive houses in premium localities). Normally men select products but the prominence of women in design and colour of products is increasing over the time.
I can suggest you should determine the customers' cultural backgrounds for different geographical areas and its impact on consumption preferences for luxury products.
