I'm doing a project where I'm finding the optimal morphology for the photoactive layer in an organic solar cell. Specifically, the arrangement of polymer and fullerene chemicals in the cell. Are there any software programs that can potentially simulate/solve the exciton drift-diffusion model for a 2D solar cell? I really don't need to modify the chemical properties as much as I need to modify the geometry and morphology of the active layer microstructure.

You can use Silvaco TCAD to model and simulate the bulk heterojunction organic solar cells. You can model the mixed polymer- fullerene blend by the interdigitad geometry, where you alternate fingures of the two materials.
Naturally you can use other approximate structures to mimic the mixing process of the two materials.

Are you sure you can do an exhaustive simulation without introducing a third spatial dimension? In all my researches on dye cells it was always necessary to keep in mind what the charge carriers were doing in that third direction.
