Thank Mohammed Abate generally the best top yield comes from single cross hybrids. The use of synthetics and composites give lower seed cost and ability to adapt to severe environments based on diversity of the genetics in play. Compared to single cross hybrids 3 way hybrids and 4 way hybrids give near top yield and greater ability to foster diversity and stress response.

There are some criteria on basis of which hybrids, synthetics & composites-
a) In terms of yield & cost involvement, hybrids are higher yielder as compared to synthetics & composites.
b)In terms of adaptibility & disease resistance, synthetic & composites are more adapted & resistant as compared to hybrids.
c)For seed replacement, hybrids take 1 year, synthetics take 4-5 years & composites take 3-4years.
