Hello Julian! i think  several articles were published and cover the same questions; development of the approach for Ants is going to be similar like any other species; however, you should read some information about ants ecology and habitats to better select the variables used in your model, for example, soil, LST and NDVI should be of importance. Go through lituratures to better understand the ecology of your species to better evaluate what types of variables are more important? i will be happy to help you through the process. 

Thanks Samy, I read a lot about ecology. Ant consulted specifically because they are not animals great migration capability for its small size. The entire process is regulated by how the colony is at this time: born, growing, stable or dying. That's the information that I have and I must discuss with the map prepared by Maxent.
