Agarwood is taken from "Aquilaria agollocha" species. Mainly related to perfume industry. But it says that there are some medicines produced by using agarwood.

This link mentions a number of medicinal uses of agarwood, such as anti-cancer, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-depressant activity, you might find the references in this paper useful:
If you are interested in agarwood produced specifically by A. agallocha aka. A. malaccensis, the second link "probably" used A. malaccensis.
Since agarwood is used as a traditional Chinese medicine, you might be able to find more papers on it in Chinese journals, although you might need to be literate in Mandarin (or have friends who are) as not all papers are translated.
