I am trying to design a feed network for CPW fed slotted antenna array in X band in HFSS. Can anybody help to share a step by step guideline how I can form the feed network?
at first you should start by simulating the base of the feed network..for example if you want to simulate a 1 to 16 feed network, you should first design the 1 to 2...then after you got your desired answer with appropriate bandwidth and other characteristics that you want, then you turn the 1 to 2 power divider into 1 to 4..and you do the same things...you should notice that the input impedance matches to the impedance that you want...
Raha Roosefid is right. Initially you have to design the single element using standard CPW feedline which covers your specific frequency band. after you achieve your results, then design 1*2 array. For designing Array, you need to read about the feeding networks which you can read from the Antenna Theory Contastine Blanis book. based on your goal and requirements, further extend the array, like 1*4, 2*2, 2*4 and so on. For the corporate feeding structure design, you need to use the quarter wave tranformer in order to match it with the input impedance of 50 ohm. Further you should read the papers(IEEE TAP) and antenna theory books to grab the concept and start designing the Array.
