Thanks! sounds interesting! I am currently writing a thesis that investigates how the Swedish state has taken a clear meta-governance stance in the political field of security! I do however find that many of the meta-governance tools that the Swedish state used have not been so successful or effective! Would be very interested in discussing the subject more. Do you know if there is any more up-coming conferences, panels, or special issues were the subject of meta-governance will be discussed?

I read your article with great interest but it seems to me that your notion of meta-governance is good governance, and the search for the right mix between markets and hierarchies to achieve a goal already defined (SD)?
In a way, this view is very de-politicized, and simply add to the discourse of governance as non-political approach.

just only now saw your question. In my phd dissertation from 2008 I looked at five successful policy cases, four on soil protection and one on inner security - a case of community policing in the dutch city of Utrecht. that case might be of interest to you. was also described in a book chapter. all this, and other metagovernance articles and papers you can find on my website www.ps4sd.eu. I believe that metagovernance can mean an important analytical and policy design lense for all types of policies or collective decision making. I am using the concept in my work within the European Commission, for instance, on economic governance. Would be happy to further discuss this with you,

This sounds very interesting. I am familiar with some of your work on meta-governance and I find it highly interesting. I did not know that you made a case study in the policy field of (inner) security. For some reason this topic is not very often investigated in meta-governance/network governance literature.
