Definition: skills and knowledge achieved for both personal development and profession advancement manifested by attained contentious nurses education hours.
Dimension: competence
Target: 5 CNE hours per nurse per year (or as you prefer)
Formula: (Total NCE hrs attained by nurses in one year / Total number of staff * 5 hr)* 100
parameter: human resource
Benchmark / target: 80% (you can search for ideal Benchmark)
Frequency: yearly

Thank you @Ahmad, actually each staff has to complete 40 CPD (Continuous Professional Development) points per year in order to renew his/her licence .. so it's mandatory
You can think about customer satisfaction of nursing education department and employee satisfaction
I am not sure if we can consider the number of conducted courses in a year, number of attendees, and quality of conducted courses as evaluated by attendees. Also the qualifications of courses' providers.
I think the challenge is mainly how to measure the impact of education on the outcomes (patient safety, quality of care .. etc). thank you for your kind response
Yes, considering patient safety and quality of care in the KPI for nursing education department is challenging and difficult to measure. improving Patient safety and quality of care is a multifaceted tasks for all hospital departments.
