Also, I would like to add that these microorganisms have a clever strategy to overcome the effect of antibiotics once new antimicrobial discover recently these pathogens sophisticated a resistance against it. As well as the farmers and producers in developing countries do not strictly follow the information which leads to an increase in the burden of this phenomenon. If we find alternative methods that used to increase production and health of animals we may be resitrict the resistance as we decrease the selective pressure. One of these methods uses of organic acid salts. In my Ph.D. found that these salts not only improve health but also improve the oxidative stability of meat during storage.

Reduce antibiotics dependency!

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is the ability of microbes to grow in the presence of a drug that would normally kill them or limit their growth. To reduce AMR:

• Do not use antibiotics to treat viral infections, such as influenza, the common cold, a runny nose or a sore throat. Ask your doctor for other ways to feel better.
• Use antibiotics only when a doctor prescribes them.
• When you are prescribed antibiotics, take the full prescription even if you are feeling better. Ensure that members of your family do the same.
• Never share antibiotics with others or use leftover prescriptions.

In my opinion is important to focus more in animal vaccination, expeciall for animals used in food production to limit the antibiotic use in animals and the spreading of multi resistant strain and limit the non-medical associate contact of human with antibiotics (eg food, milk)

Antimicrobial resistance has emerged as a public health concern. This phenomenon occurred as a result of poor use of medicines, whether veterinary or human, especially antibiotics and lead to the emergence of harmful microbes, which do not respond to treatment with antibiotics. I think getting rid of this phenomenon is possible by rationalizing the use of antibiotics

Yes, unfortunately, antimicrobial resistance is a public health concern due to the development of microbes from one condition to the more sophisticated one.

There is as yet little awareness of the fact among medics that many types of bacteria are magnetotactic . Antibiotic resistance in animal may have developed as a result of sub therapeutics addition of these antibiotics to the feeds of the animals. In a recent research, where the antibiotic resistance of dog and chicken are compared, it was reported that, misuse of antibiotic may have caused the observed resistance in isolates from poultry.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is the natural process by which micro-organisms render antibiotics used to treat the infections they cause ineffective over time. WHO has named AMR as one of three most important public health threats to the 21st century. AMR threatens effective treatment of infections, most especially life threatening infections and this may lead to death in the absence of an alternative drug.

Thus it has become a global concern because of the consequences of rendering antibiotics ineffective. These consequences include; increased cost of health care for individuals, families and the nation, longer hospital stay, increases the economic burden of nations. For instance, it is estimated that AMR costs US an estimated amount of $20bn annually and a loss of about $100trillion to global economy.

At the WHA in May 2019, member nations were encouraged to step up infection prevention and control measures by: ensuring prudent/rational use of quality assured antibiotics; reduce use of antimicrobials in food producing animals; strengthen surveillance and laboratory capacity; develop research for new drugs and diagnostic tools. These in addition to national policies on use of antimicrobials. Doctors should resist pressure of prescribing antibiotics when they are not necessary, and also educate their patients on the importance of completing their drugs as prescribed. Pharmaceutical industries should be supported to produce new drugs that are of high quality.

Antibiotic resistance is a natural phenomenon that occurs when microorganisms are exposed to antibiotic drugs. By using selective antibiotics, sensitive bacteria are killed or inhibited, while naturally resistant bacteria or acquired antibiotic resistance have a greater chance of survival and reproduction. Not only excessive use of antibiotics but also inappropriate options, inadequate doses and poor adherence to therapeutic guidelines contribute to increased antibiotic resistance.

Microorganisms lead to difficulty in the treatment of common infectious diseases, prolonged disease, disability and death.

Without effective antimicrobials for prevention and treatment of infections, medical procedures such as organ transplantation, cancer chemotherapy, diabetes management and major surgery (for example, caesarean sections or hip replacements) become very high risk.

On the antibiotic discovery end, we need government investment in the search for new antibiotics, because antibiotics (and other drugs that produce a cure after taking them for a short time) are not very profitable, so private enterprise will at best only produce a trickle of them.

On the antibiotic usage end, we need to ban the non-medical use of antibiotics in factory farms (that is, use of them to increase animal weight and enable the use of crowded and unsanitary conditions). This is the greatest abuse of antibiotics by tonnage.

Very true antimicrobial resistance is on the high side and certainly a grave problem for medicine.

Correct antibiotics use following appropriate laboratory tests is one of the keys to prevention ,also indiscriminate prescription of antibiotics should be stopped and use of broad spectrum antibiotics should be regulated.

Hi there, have you considered magnetotactic bacteria (there are many) which respond and activate in presence of magnetic fields, such as from cabling, electronic equipment, over basalts, dolerites , quartz @(rocks with strong remanent magnetism), lightning strikes. Use a small compass just over these and you may be very surprised at the swing of the needle. Remember the magnetosomes and magnetite within our bodies - will generate 'spin' and Reactive Oxygen Species which in excess will dash through the body 'like a wrecking ball'
