I am trying to model Reinforced concrete column under Axial load only IN ANSYS.
when i try to model RC column both ended are fixed with axial load i got non convergence problem at early time ,
meaning if the capacity of specimen is 2400KN according to practical results i got in ansys non convergence at 300 KN only
so i think ansys stop solving when the concrete cover cracks and don't wait until the core of column crushed
i have checked the geometry and the material didn't find any things
so can you give me any guidelines or advice or files in this problem.

That is may be due to failure into Gauss points prior to global element.
If you are modeling concrete using SOLID65 legacy element then there will be high probability of solution non convergence if cracking and crushing are activated. Also this element is highly sensitive to the mesh size used, you can deactivate cracking and crushing of the element by setting them values of (-1) and then solve just to see if this is the reason behind non convergence. Also you can include stress relaxation by changing key options of the solid65 to help with convergence. In general it's tricky to get SOLID65 element to converge with both cracking and crushing activated, the load (displacement controlled) should be applied at a very slow rate with a fine mesh. You can try the newly developed Microplane model using SOLID185 with damage elasticity/plasticity or with CPT215 coupled damage plasticity.
