I have rubber formulation in phr. To know the amount needed for that formulation, I am confuse to weigh using weighing balance or measure in volume since my additive are in dispersion (4 additive) and some are in solid (2 additive). Can I directly weigh these two additive which in solid form and combine with other that are measure in volume and mix together ?

If the rubber compound which you want to prepare is so sensitive base on its application, it is better not use the additives that were mixed together.
Most of the time whene the additives mix with each other, their properties change over time. I suggest you if it is possible for you, prepare the required additives.

In rubber formulation, phr means 100 parts by weight of the rubber. Hence, the quantity of all the additives required in in the rubber formulation should be measured by weight and not by volume. That is, the unit of measurement should be the same. Suppose you know the ratio of the weights (in grams) of the four additives in the dispersion and want to add 20 phr of the said dispersion, then you should weigh and add 20 grams of the dispersion to 100 grams of the rubber. Likewise, you should weigh the other solid additives in grams, as per the required phr in the formulation, and add them to the above 100 grams of the rubber.
Based on the ratio of the weights of the four additives in the dispersion, you can calculate the phr of the individual additives for 100 phr of the rubber. It is assumed that the four additives are uniformly mixed to make the dispersion.
