NEMD are usually more complicated but more reliable. On the other hand, if you need only an approximate number (your system looks rather complex), EMD may be enough. Take account that the used field force should be adequate to justificate a difficult simulation

Thank you for your response. I totally understand your point. However, EMD and NEMD each are for certain specific regimes. EMD is suitable for measuring viscosity in Newtonian, zero-shear rate regime, while NEMD is more appropriate for non-Newtonian regime.
