I want to mabe benzamide from above two acid and primary amine. How shall I go for that.

I also want the aromatic amino and hydroxy groups unchanged in my product.

Making the Acid Chloride and dropping in on the amine would not be advisable! As soon as the acid is converted to acyl chloride; A different reaction may take place! This is because the acid chloride from another molecule would react at the para-position amine and hence create an undesirable amide. Even due to the para behavior of the molecule; Polymerization may take place! What I suggest is that you add your desired amine with the following reagents: CBr4, NEt3 and PPh3 under room temperature and normal atmospheric conditions and let it run for 15 minutes.

This is a mild method and would not damage or alter your Hydroxyl or amide groups. However I will still advise you to protect your para-position amine; Just to improve your yield and later de-protect it. The yield should be around 85-90%.

Dear Rajesh,

I think you protect amine with trityl group using trityl chloride and TEA followed by couple with amine inpresence of DCC (2 eq) and catalytic amount of DMAP in DMF.

I make with success amide derivatives of p-aminobenzoic acid using a carbodiimide as activating agent of carboxyl group and coupling then with amines. This procedure leave the aminoaromatic moiety intact
