Pre-emergence herbicide pendimethalin is commonly used in the crops belonging from the Gramineae and leguminosea family. Some what it is used in oilseed crops also. Though it has long residual effects in soil that make land unsuitable for the growing of few sensitive crop like pearlmillet. Lets know me which is alternatives of this very potent herbicide.
There is no true alternative of pendimethalin is available as of now to control weeds in more than 100 crops as in case of pendimethalin.

Different pre-emergence herbicide is available for individual crops only may be used as alternative to it. For example Pyrazosulfuron in rice.
