Quite recently, a rare (occasional bycatch captures only) specimen of Alepisaurus ferox was landed in Terceira Island, Azores (NE Atlantic) by a vessel from the local commercial fleet. The specimen is frozen and donated to my University. I am going to keep the head, liver, gonads and stomach but, if anyone of you is interested in receiving samples of muscle/tissue for genetic purposes I'll be glad to send since rare fish like this might be useful to other colleagues and made available. Feel free to contact me.
