When plotting the curves giving the adsorption capacity and the adsorption yield as a function of the adsorbent dose, it is generally observed that these two curves intersect at a given point. How to physically interpret this intersection, or better yet, this point of intersection.

When it is the same scale, the intersection of two curves means that the functions which govern them have the same value. But, when the scales are different, as is the case herein, the intersection of two curves means absolutely nothing, it is a simple coincidence. One should not try to find a rational explanation or a physical meaning at the point of intersection. The curves intersect only under the effect of factor 100 of the yield which raised the curve. Draw the yield curve without multiplying it by a factor of 100, i.e. yield between 0 and 1 (1 - Ce/Co), you will see that there is no point of intersection.
