Traditionally, acrylic rheological modifiers (ASE or HASE, eg: copolymer MAA and EA) have tested on the water to investigate the thickening power. If the same amount is maintained on alcoholic solution the thickening power is several times less (eg: 5400 cP on water and 500 cP on ethanol 99%). What type of interaction is working in decreased the thickening power? I'm realy confused., please help me...
