Dear All,

I am working with the absolute instability analysis of the boundary layer. Before performing global stability analysis , to check it for spatially stable/unstable it is essential to perform absolute instability analysis. I have few question that i have listed here

1. It is a local stability analysis ? ( parallel flow assumption considered )

2. It is a spatio-temporal eigenvalues problem ? where \alpha and \omega both are complex.

3. If both are complex then how to make solution of such eigenvalue problem

4. The eigenvalues problem is also non-linear ( poly eigenvalues type) in nature.

5. suggest basic literature, which will help in formulation and solution of absolute stability analysis .
