Hi All,
Does anyone know what are the differences between the Partition function (in the Part module) and the Cut function (Cut/Merge Instances function to be exact - in the Assemble module)?
I am looking to split a part into 2 separate parts without having to redraw the whole things again in 2 separate parts. The reason for doing so is to get 2 different mesh density on the 2 separate parts that will later be tied using Tie constraint to form a complete piece.
I tried both methods and looks like they did the same thing so just wondering if anyone out there knows what is the difference between these 2 functions.
I guess the main difference is probably you could perform curve partitioning with Cut/Merge Instances in the Assembly module by intersecting it with some other instances - Which cannot be easily done using the Partition function in the Part module.
Many thanks for any comments!
Cheers,
Heng
