i've only be using a Trimble, which provided us locations/measurement (in various units/coordinate systems).

Thank you for the information. The order and write speeds of observation (distance, direction, angle, as well as any corrections) affect the accuracy of the position of the reflector. I'm looking for details on this.

I assume you consider here the writing/capturing of the physical measurement, before processing them to obtain a position observation? They do influence accuracy of the reflector position, but these are of relevance of moving targets with fairly high speeds. In all other cases, you can expect environmental conditions to have more influence. See also the research from ETH, where they tested the deviation between real position and measured position, which turned out to vary only a little.

When you consider the processing of the observations and/or the writing to storage, this should be / is decoupled from the actual physical measurement, and is only done after a simultaneous collection of the data. Thus, it is not influencing the accuracy of your results at all...
