I read the discussions between you and your colleague about the 3D image, I need to understand the followings to help you:

1. The original file SLT you got from the 3D scanner.

2. What is the next step that you are looking for. I mean you will talk this file for processing, is it image processing or another technical software e.g. ANSYS to achieve some specific analysis..

In case that you still need advices about this issue please explain more and I will do my best for answering...

Regarding the 3 D image ,Actually 1- I need method to construct 3rd image from 2 d image .

2-How can read 3rd image from different angles By using Matlab.

I need 3d image construction in order to measure volume.

If it is possible ,can you advice me about that.

So the problem is how to reconstruct 3D images from sets of 2D images, and this is what happens really in CT (computed tomography) system, and called volume rendering or isotropic images... and the idea behind to create a new virtual plane of slicing.
