My friend and I have synthesized chalcone from 1-acetylnaphthalene and 2-fluorobenzaldehide, but the result was oil.

How is the mechanism of reaction of cyclization synthesis pyrazoline? is it possible to produce adverse reactions?

I was synthesized a pyrazoline derivative, and while TLC, the spot was always blue and yellow that stuck together. Although i TLC it with various solvent, they were not separate.
