Which solvent (dichloromethane or methanol) is better for the extraction of phenolic compounds.?

I am working on the natural products for antioxidant. Normally, methanol is considered as better but i have different results. how somebody can explain it.

How somebody can guide me, how to remove clear extract from suspension in herbal products?

i am working on herbal extracts, during extraction suspension develops and it is hard to remove, it is stick and very fine.
