There are two pendulum bobs, one has a bob of mass 1 kg and the other has a bob of mass 2 kg. One of the pendulum's string is twice in length than the other. Will they fall in the same time?

What can I understand from this SDS-PAGE? How do I know what the different bands are?

I am looking to understand how I can read an SDS-PAGE gel, since this is my first SDS-PAGE. These are elution fractions (gradient) of a protein that I purified using IMAC (His-tagged).

To perform a HIs-Tag Protein purification, what is the correct way to make the lysis and elution (Sodium Phosphate) buffer?

Can I bring the pH to 8 using NaOH? What are the pros and cons of that? Will it work if I add only sodium dihydrogen phosphate for the phosphate ions and skip the disodium hydrogen phosphate?
