By adding drop wise addition of sodium hydroxide to zinc chloride in ethanol medium stirring vigorously, will zinc oxide nanoparticles be formed? If so what is the mechanism of formation?

How can I synthesize stable Zinc Oxide nanoparticles in water?

The Zinc Oxide nanoparticles that I synthesized are stable in ethanol but precipitate in water. I need to stabilize stable NPs in water because I want to functionalize antibodies to them.
