If acetonitrile can be converted to acetic acid in acidic hydrolysis conditions, then how is it widely used as a solvent for HPLC in a low pH?

In principle ACN should also hydrolyse in HPLC conditions, but it does not ! Is it not very strange and contradicting ??

Does anybody have an idea of how to purify hydrophobic peptides by HPLC which are hard to solublize in initial HPLC conditions?

My peptide is hard to soluble in acetonitrile/water/0.5 % TFA solvent for preparative HPLC purification. I also tried in 2 mM NH3, but still it is very less soluble.
