Can we use crotonic acid assay to estimate/ quantify copolymer of PHA?

Coplymer of PHA contains 3hb and other units. crotonic acid assy can quantify only 3HB, CAN ANYONE PLEASE help in understanding if we can use this method to quantify copolymer.
