Why does my Cd-ZnO Nanofiber has lower absorbance than pure ZnO Nanofiber?

Recently, i use Cd as a doping for ZnO Nanofiber. From some journals, Cd should increase the absorbance of ZnO. But in my case; it was not. Cd-ZnO Nanofiber has lower absorbance than the pure one....
