Why am I seeing alkane/alkene mix in Clemmensen reduction?

I am seeing a mix of alkane and alkene in this aryl ketone clemmensen reduction. They come out as a single peak in HPLC, so separation isn't an option. Can anyone propose why I am seeing this mix...
