How can I know the formed polymer is hyperbranched or just highly branched? Synthetic method followed is guarantee? Is it necessary to calculate DOB?

Usually its the methodology which is the most important for HBP or dendrimer formation. In many of the publications, degree of branching are not calculated. So whats the guarantee of HBP formation?
