Why don't we use gaussian function to deconvoulate 2D peak of graphene.

I have exfolited graphene directly and wants to deconvoulate its 2D raman peak. Shall I use lorentzian function for it or can I use gaussian also.

How can I differentiate Graphene and Graphite from XRD graph.?
