How much cell suspension (in L15) volume may I load on a 30 ml percoll discontinuous gradient (15ml 34% and 15 ml of 51% in a 50 ml falcon tube)?

A sub-question is, is it better to prepare percoll gradient with Hank's Balanced Salt Solution or with KCl? The purpose is to isolate macrophages of a fish head kidney.
