Can I stain the artery with Hoechst dye without cutting with microtome and could it be visualized with fluorescent microscope?

I would like to stain the artery with Hoechst dye. However, I am not able to visualize it with fluorescnet microscope. My question is it possible to stain the all artery without cryosectioning?
