Are there methods in which magnetic properties can be predicted without the need for direct magnetic measurements?

I wonder whether it is possible to predict the magnetic properties of matter through other physical measurements such as morpholygical, electrical or optical.. etc, rather than magnetic measurement

How can this behavior of real part of dielectric constant vs photon energy be explained as in pic??

dielectric constants have been calculated from transmittance and reflectance data. Note that I checked all calculations a lot. and i can not find similar behavior in references for the same material.
