Does anyone know how to go about staining both the apical and the basolateral side of a costar (pore size 3um) trans well?

I have cells seeded on both the apical and the basolateral side of a transwell. I would like to stain both sides to observe the cross talk between both sides. I've been looking for protocol, but...
