Why don't I see visible helium emission lines in a CO2 laser plasma at low pressure (mixture of He+N2+CO2)?

I think that CO2 and N2 and all their products resulted by decomposition in the discharge are quenching the He exited atoms by collisions but I am not sure.

How can I deposit a Pt or Au catalysator inside a silica glass tube? Which method is better, deposition precipitation or impregnation?

I need to develop a CO catalysator which is not very complicated to obtain.
