What is the optimised conc, temp and length of time for the use of Proteinase K as an antigen retrieval step in brain tissue?

Hi I usually use citrate buffer as an antigen retrieval but with TUNEL staining it is not working well. My supervisor suggested I try Proteinase K but nobody has used this in brain in the lab only...
