Dear all, I would like to know what is the function of alcohol in the fibre treatment using 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane?

Is it necessary to use alcohol in the silane treatment for natural fibres? OR we can just use the distilled water only without mixing with alcohol? Thank you.

Endurance limit only exist for steel. Can endurance limit be applied for composite materials also?
